"9F" 2-10-0 no.92083 was allocated to Annesley from January 4th 1965 till the "runners" ceased in June of that year. Fireman "Nobby" Clarke looks on as she is being shunted around the shed.

Immingham (40B) allocated "B1"4-6-0 no.61190 stands in Annesley yard. Not the distinctive silver-painted smokebox door hinge straps, number plate and shed plate, a trademark of 40B.

6947 "Helmingham Hall" has been disposed of By driver Nev Monks and Fireman Ernie White. They are now "getting her ready" with the blower hard on and 100lb of steam on the clock.

Long-time Annesley resident "B1" 4-6-0 no.61209 is being prepared for her next duty and will be shortly moving off no.8 road. This photo was taken on 6/10/51. Five years later she would be transferred to Colwick (38A) from where she was withdrawn in September 1962.

The fifteenth of February 1950 sees "O4" 2-8-0 no. 63723 just prior to her transfer to Colwick (38A) a few days later. She was finally withdrawn from Mexborough (41F) in November 1959.

Colwick (38A) allocated Ex-WD 2-8-0 (LNER "O7") class no.63050 (formerly 70818 & 3050) stands in a crowded Annesley shed yard on 25th July 1948. Renumbered 90050 she was withdrawn from her final depot New England (34E) in May 1963

"Immingham" class 4-6-0 no.1488 stands proudly at Annesley on 8th June 1947. All nine engines of this class were shedded at Ardsley (56B) at this time.

LNER "D9" class (GCR Robinson 11B,11C,11D class) 4-4-0 no.6028 (formerly 1028)at Annesley on 30/8/36. At Annesley since (at least) 1922, she was withdrawn less than 12 months later in June 1937

An Ardsley (56B) "B1" 4-6-0 no.61215 "William Henton Carver" stands at Annesley on 9th August 1964. She was withdrawn six months later.
Sunday 11/11/62 sees
Sunday 11/11/62 sees "B16/2" 4-6-0 no.61437 stabled in front of the drinking water tank. She was brought on shed the previous day at 15.25 by driver Fred Simpkins, and disposed by Driver Ken Sylvester and his unlucky fireman! This engine was a 1937 Gresley rebuild, with Walschaerts valve gear and derived motion for inside cylinder. Now with screw reverse but still r/h drive. She was withdrawn from Hull (Dairycoates)(50B) in July 1964

Sunday 11th November 1962 sees "K3" 2-6-0 no.61934 at Annesley. She had been brought on shed at 03.20 that morning by Mexborough men, who disposed of her and travelled home.

Pictured on 30/11/56, she was to last nearly seven more years, being withdrawn from Mirfield (56D) in September 1963.
